Here is a video just for the fam, Jessie, does this remind you of anything?

We
have got our cute English Class here in the next picture. There is Minow, Terama, and
Deborah, our family investigators who are getting baptized in August!!
We are really close with them, and Deborah loves to call her son
"Apostasy" hahaha because he doesn't want to come to the lessons. Then
far left is Moana, our power member who comes with us all the time.
Moana sacrifices everything to be a good person. He got baptized 9
months ago, and the people's lives here are not conducive to the
Gospel. That means that every member has to change a lot. Kids start
smoking weed at 12 or 13, everyone's neighbor has the equipment to give
them free tattoos, domestic violence is sometimes taught as acceptable
at church: quote this week "I hit my kids after church most weeks but
then I double my love for them after" (That hurt me more than it hurt
you son!), and there is a lot of poverty. But despite odds like that,
the members that are faithful become so strong! Moana quit smoking and
drinking and fighting and he quit his job where there was some
temptations. Now he has to work in the middle of the night, sometimes
shifts of 14 hours, and during the day what would you do? sleep?? yeah
me too! but he doesn't, he just goes right off the bus to come do
missionary work with us for the rest of the day. His friends are often
against him and his home life is a wreck but he has let Christ change
his entire life. This man is a living example of how Christ can change
someone's life.
Lol and now he is just looking for a solid wife,... any takers ;)

Soone- prayed and fasted with her family and now received so many blessings.
And
the incredible thing is she recognizes them!!!! thanks to her faith and
fasting her family now loves her again and will let her do what she
would like. Her job perspectives are widening as well and she is so
happy!! Now we just got to help her focus all her gratitude and efforts
on a goal for baptism.
We also met a lady
named Rainbow this week who sat US down for a first lesson and scheduled
the next lesson and gave us 4 fish and apologized for drinking. Hahaha
and of course like usual she wasn't actually there for the next lesson
but these people just make me laugh haha. Good thing my companion is a
champ and knows how to gut fish!
Well I love you all, Spencer Family so much!
Shout
out to Adam and Grandpa and Grandma and Chris who have all sent me some
awesome email, pictures, and videos. I totally will make it for the
next family reunion k?
So fun to be out at the same time as Nikki!!!
And
to all those kiddies who have a mission still in their future, prepare
and do it! I love this chance to serve God so much. There is never
another time in your life when you can serve, just yourself, like this.
I already have had experienced and met people I love so dearly and the
number one on that list is our Savior Jesus and our Dad, Heavenly
Father. They are so real and so loving. And helping other people get
to know them is the biggest blessing. Putting in the papers and
telling God you are ready to go wherever is all you got to do. Who the
Lord calls, he qualifies. I believe that.
Alright, all my love to the family!!
